April 1, 2015 at 7:44 AMThese two characters have different meanings. The 6 stroke one ”后" means "behind; back" in general. The one in this lesson “候" means "to wait".
Therefore, 稍后 means "later", and 稍候 means "wait for a moment".
Hope this helps you. :)

March 31, 2015 at 5:58 AMAccording to your opinion, 6 months is too soon/early to get married, right? Therefore, you need 就 to indicate "sooner/short/earlier" than your expectation.
The sentence to express your point of view should be "他们认识六个月就结婚了". :)

March 31, 2015 at 5:51 AMThis is very good! Only one sentence needs to be corrected.
他们每年结扎那么多流浪狗 --> 他们每年给那么多流浪狗结扎
Thank you for sharing this with us!

March 13, 2015 at 3:10 AM‘帮’ bāng is 'to help' while ‘替’ tì means 'do this for me'.
So when you use '帮', it's more like you will do it togather. However, if you use ‘替', we assume that you are asking the person to do it in place of you.
Posted on: Entire/Whole: 整 (zhěng) vs 全 (quán) [Video/Audio]
March 13, 2015 at 2:35 AMThank you for the good questions.
Basically, in Chinese linguistics, 整 zhěng is a 'word' which is part of a sentence, 全 is a 'suffix' which is part of a word.
Therefore, you always see 全 accompany another word/character(s). For example, ‘全国’, ‘全世界', ’全市', ‘全身’, '全书', etc.
I would say it's almost impossible to distinguish between 整 and 全 by their meaning alone, but they are grammatically different.
It is why we gave complete sentences for 整 but just words for 全.

March 13, 2015 at 2:14 AMThe correct sentence would be "我骑了六十公里的自行车,所以我的腿好酸。:)
So it's a great sentence, but to make it even better, it's good to say where exaclty you are feeling the soreness, such as;
我屁股很酸 wǒ pìgu hěn suān | My bum is sore
我的脚好酸 wǒ de jiǎo hǎo suān | My feet are sore
我全身都好酸 wǒ quánshēn dōu hǎo suān | My entire body is sore
Hope that make's it clearer.

April 9, 2015 at 10:13 AM“定价” is used as a noun, for example “这个东西的定价是多少?”.
“订” is used as a verb and has various meanings. In this situation, the shop owner decided "to set" or "to fix" the price there and then.
However sometimes people use the first one ”决定“ 的 ”定“ to mean that they decide the price. "他定了这个价钱“.
Both "定" and ”订" are verbs and they have very similar meaning in this situation.
