I think it sounds really natural. Even if he isn't going to come next time it is great to know how you might make a promise that you might break.

It might be hard for them to do. ChinesePod already has a huge staff focusing on many different aspects of making the website and Chinese learning go smoothly for us users. Every CD that comes with a textbook comes with the same issues (having a few voices). I think the only way to mix things up in this respect is to get out and use your Chinese with real people. Not only are you going to hear a variety of voices and voice registers but you can get exposer to a flowing and unscripted conversation.

Because a lesson a day isn't enough? Or because you have studied every lesson on ChinesePod?

Thanks for the podcast. If anything I was reaffirmed of my placement in the Chinesepod system. Although I have studied Chinese for around 4 years I used a very systematic aproach (text book learning) and still find a lot of new content (perhaps not the grammar) in the intermediate lessons. I have been a member for a long time, but only recently an active one.I hope to keep up with my new pace of two or three lessons a day for as long as I can. Upper Intermediate here I come!

谢谢你们!

我贴了后,也有同样的想法。而他们讨论课程的时候说“了二”得放在句子的最后面。

谢谢你的回答。

I agree. I just wanted to comment for other users. I lived there as well and frequently ran into both usages.

I believe that both characters actually work in traditional. The second niàn with the mouth radical is just a variant of the more basic form.

I have a question about the use of 了二 in the 终于 sentences. 你可不可以把”了“放在动词和名词的中间?

比如: 我终于到了拉萨.

or does it have to be at the end?

谢谢。

That is the way I understand it, but I'm curious as well.

Carlicartel, you are correct about how you say car but you have to remember that in this sentence they are emphasizing the grammar point 买得起,买不起。 The 起 and 车 are not a single word. The sentence is stressing that even "买得起" (being able to buy) a 车(car).... and the something about the gas being expensive.
