December 28, 2007 at 11:07 AMSpeaking of 新年快乐, I've used 几乎有快乐 to express the english idiom : "almost happy". 几乎有 meaning "almost have" 乐 meaning "happy" Obviously from the answer I get, 几乎有快乐 doesn't make any sense in chinese. What's the reason ?

January 3, 2008 at 6:34 PMAmber, Are you really sure that 泡妞 comes from Hong Kong ? The Cantodict says it's from PTH and not used in Cantonese. The equivalent in cantonese is 沟女 http://www.cantonese.sheik.co.uk/dictionary/words/40924/
