@ pauley,

zhè jù huà kěyǐ zhèyàng shuō, "wǒ láizì yà rè dài yángguāng hǎi'àn“

@ bodawei,

Hi rafach,

Definition of the "blanket" from wikipedia: blankets are including quilts, duvets, and comforters, depending on their thickness, construction and/or fill material. Electric blankets. Blankets were traditionally made of wool because of wool's warmth, breathability and natural fire-retardant properties, while sheets were made of cotton or linen, which are less irritating to the skin.

Hi sunikumar060,

"shopping" in Chinese 可以说 “逛街---guang4jie1” or "购物gou4wu4"。

Also, there is a new word in rencent years for shopping, 叫 "血拼", which means spending a lot of money on shopping at a time ( a crazy shopping).

Ah, that way, it just can be called "被子" in general.

Is "doona " only an Australian slang for quilt or blanket?

羽绒被 is a quilt espcially filled with eiderdown.

That would be pretty cool to have a versatile quilt like what you described above!

Actually I just bought 一条特大的蚕丝被 the other day.

Hi sfrrr,

Dovet is called "羽绒被---yu3rong2 bei4".

@lamartiniere,

"帮你" can not be replaced with "对你" in the sentence "我再帮你拿一条吧"。

“我帮你拿一条吧” indicates "one more(quilt)", including the previous one. while “我帮你拿一条别的吧” indicateds "other (quilt) " , the previous one would not be included.

Hope that makes sense!

@bodawei, david
