Actually, what I meant is the 绿茶 (lv4cha2). Sorry about the confusion! I have a friend who is a doctor, and he had once told me of that.Yes, you're right. Black tea is acidic. Hmm... interesting, I was told that coffee also would dilates the blood vessels. Maybe we'd better consult an medical expert to confirm? :D

There is a substance called "alkaline" in tea leaves,it can stimulates the central nervous and strenthen the blood circulation, it might makes the body tempreture even higher. So does the caffeine.

You can not drink tea or coffee when have a fever.
Normally, If I have a cold, I would drink a lot of hot water(热水=re4shui3) in first two days instead of 马上吃感冒药.（ma3shang4 chi1 gan3mao4 yao4--- take the cold madicine immediately.）
