May 30, 2007 at 2:49 AMDialogue is still at chipmunk speed. I agree with LostinAsia - could you add a page that shows what has or has not been updated? It's hard to tell if anyone sees these comments.

May 18, 2007 at 1:57 AMA very good and useful lesson! I have a question about using adjectives. In the expansion exercises you have this sentence: 这些杂志是过期的。 Could I also say: 这些杂志过期. It seems that sometimes we need to use 是...的,but sometimes we can do without it. So, are the following sentences both right, and is there any difference? 我朋友很高。 我朋友是很高的。 I know that sometimes the 是。。。的 structure is used for emphasis - 我是骑车过来的。 Is it the same here too?

May 9, 2007 at 4:26 AMI agree with Man2Toe. Especially when I save vocabulary, there's a very long delay.

May 8, 2007 at 1:41 AMHi, I noticed that the popups for the dialogue and expansion sentences in Advanced lessons don't show the English (also with the Media lessons). Is that intentional? I'd still find the English translation (or even better - a simplified Chinese explanation) very useful

May 3, 2007 at 2:07 AMHi, 看来对话里的单词没有英文翻译。popup只有汉字和拼音。 “popup"用中文怎么说?

April 28, 2007 at 4:19 AMI agree with Langaihua. It would be better to have an option to only have Chinese for the expansion sentences. Its better to try to understand the meaning on our own before seeing the translation. I do occasionally like seeing the full translation and comparing with how I translated it, so leaving the option in there is useful. That would be a nice feature for the vocabulary definitions as well. I'd rather see simple Chinese explanations than the direct English translations. More Chinese equals more progress! Great lesson today.
