October 29, 2007 at 1:47 PMhi john, i agree with mark - i'd love to see something on presenting a chart and talking about trends. also, how about one where a guy takes his computer to the shop because it has all sorts of problems with it. (virus, CD player is not working, etc - haha, i'm describing my own computer). and, as i mentioned above, how about one talking about using Office or Excel software, so you could include really common verbs like 'save', 'delete', 'open a file', etc. this would fit in with what wildyaks suggests above. and, it would be even better if they all fit in with the Jizhou storyline so we can have more of those lessons :)

September 27, 2007 at 9:27 AMWell I just did an extended search on 'cat urine' in Chinese. A great way to while away the hours at work ;) No closer to guessing the movie though...

September 27, 2007 at 5:05 AMYeah, that was my impression - 收据 and 小票 are one and the same. But I've never heard of 小票 either - is it a regional thing? I live in Suzhou, near Shanghai, so I'd have thought the locals would say that a lot here too.

September 27, 2007 at 2:22 AMInteresting and useful lesson! The different kinds of receipts in China has always confused me. Is a 收据 (not sure about characters there - 'shouju') and a 小票 the same thing?

November 30, 2007 at 2:43 AMA useful lesson! How do you distinguish 'I am putting on my shirt' and 'I am wearing a shirt'? Would it be: 我在穿上衬衫.
