I agree with haowarde, more serial story lines, except there ought not be too many. Part of the the "hook" of this story line is the tension created by the infrequent episodes, a tension that keeps us coming back, counting the days till we are rewarded happily with the next unannounced episode! Jenny, you are a class act. Always remember that. Your inner beauty shines brightly throughout all you do at CPod.

June 11, 2007 at 5:04 AMFranch, thx for the explanations. This lesson is out of my league, obviously, but it appears "addicted" is translated several ways depending on the context. "To adore" or "be fascinated" or "fei1chang2xi3huan1" have positive connoations. I am wondering is there a way to say, "he's addicted to such and such," but regarding a serious addiction (like alcohol or drugs.) Perhaps there isn't such a verb "to be addicted" in Chinese.

I take any constructive criticism as instruction, because ultimately it teaches the language to the poddies better, and it makes me better. I was born and raised in Taiwan till the age of 9. Thus, you are right, "shu1fu2" for me is "su1fu2." As for chabuduo, your point is a subtle one and probably correct. But, it would be good if the academic team clarified it. Amber, thanks for your kind words. I do try to be respectful and encouraging. By the way, I am still wondering, in relation to this MP3 lesson, how to say PC computer vs Mac (I got Apple pinguo from Tianye already.)

But, I always want to encourage people to be cautious and educated consumers of health information and products whether in this sort of medium or in daily conversations with my patients and friends.
