Amber That's a fantastic explanation of the difference between ci4 and bian4; so very subtle but precise. You have once again demonstrated that CPod's teachers are incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable. Thanks! Chow, thanks for the kind words : )

amber, is bien4 incorrect then? i am so sorry to mislead the poddies. that's the last thing i want to do. when would one use ci4 vs. bien4? is ci4 more for an action vs bien4 for an event?

Tianye: no, way! it can't be that simple: "iPod" and 苹果电脑 (ping2guo3 dian4nao3); thx; Chongzibide, thx. glad it's helpful.constructive criticisms welcome.I think a 1GB iPod costs about $80US; big difference in cost, but we love Apples! "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"

Man2Toe Your imagery of climbing up the mountain with the CPod teachers on top reaching down to pull us up is so touching, and so right on! I would not want any other teachers to lead the way!

Hi John and Jenny, i own an iPod; how do you say iPod in Mandarin? or, a Mac or Apple computer for that matter? (we are Mac devotees!) Mandarin for PC computer? delphi, see today's weblog by ken; rodinDC, I'm sure bien4 would also be appropriate; user24519, thx, and i do have another lesson bouncing around in my "head" ; ) and will take constructive criticisms seriously jenny, i am most pleased and honored to receive your glowing review! your gracious manner continue to inspire and amaze me! and, yes, i used the "crouching tiger, hidden dragon" soundtrack

Ken, thanks. Coming from you, I am humbled and honored. I actually teach all the time in my day to day conversations with nurses and patients, but not in a structured manner. Dave, thanks. Yes, those pix are my portraits, mostly family members.

HI everybody! (I posted this on the MP3 lesson, but am re-posting at a more GASTRONOMICALLY oriented lesson discussion ; ) After listening to today's lesson, I became REALLY, REALLY excited to FINALLY give my gift to CPod and its community!! I created a CPod lesson in March purely out of the ABUNDANCE of gratefulness for the joy and delight ChinesePod has brought to my life! I really feel compelled to give this lesson as an expression of my sincere thankfulness. I hope it is useful for the learners. Please enjoy the bonus lesson! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.....r1sgJ0ZqCs

Hi Ken Oh, that's too bad. The slide show is also enjoyable. I am quite a computer dummy...so I don't know what "sender's friend request" means...help, anyone?
