hi sebire,

Not every past tense sentence will have a 了 (le).  Sometimes, if the time is already clear, because you have said '昨天'  (zuótiān) the 了 (le) is left off.

hi lumi,

the beginning of the month:  月初 (yuèchū)
the end of the month: 月底 /月末 (yuèdǐ /yuèmò)

年初 (niánchū): beginning of the year
年末/年底 (niánmò/niándǐ):  end of the year

As far as beginning of the week, etc., in Chinese they don't have a set expression for that, they will just use the name of the day, i.e. 周一, 周二  (Zhōuyī, zhōu'èr)

hi light,

每个人 (měi gèrén) means 'everyone.' or, literally, 'every person'.  It's not a measure word.  The 个 (ge) is the measure word.

请 (qǐng) means please, and often comes at the beginning of a sentence.

吧 (ba) is a particle that comes at the end of a sentence, one of its uses is to indicate a suggestion.  You can learn more about 吧 (ba) in this Qing Wen episode.

hi greggs,

You can also omit the 位 (wèi), however it doesn't sound as formal or as polite:

这是张总。
Zhè shì Zhāng Zǒng.

最重要的是
Zuì zhòngyào de shì

Means basically, 'What's most important is....'  So in the expansion sentence, it is:

最重要的是各位同事一起努力
Zuì zhòngyào de shì gèwèi tóngshì yīqǐ nǔlì
'What's most important is the each employee make a lot of effort working together.'

hi pchery,

一根筋 (Yī gēn jīn) is more commonly used in Southern China.  Some other ways to say 'I'm stubborn' are:

我有点固执。
Wǒ yǒudiǎn gùzhí.

我有点倔。
Wǒ yǒudiǎn juè.

Hi huasen,

Yes, you can use 以为 where the mistaken idea persists as well as when it has now been revised.  Your example sentence is correct.
