Look, everyone. These four vials of gas hold hydrogen, oxygen, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide. But they aren't labeled, so how do we distinguish them?

lǎoshī lǎoshī ，yǎngqì kěyǐ yòng dài huǒxīng de mùtiáo jiǎnyàn 。
Teacher, teacher! Oxygen can be tested with a glowing splint.

You can also use a burning splint. The oxygen will make the splint burn brighter and brighter.
