Very good question! Yes the literal meanings are mostly correct (I don't think 见 has the meaning of to interview), but they have different usages. For 晚, you can say 我来晚了, that's the equivalence of 我迟到了. Keep in mind that the literal meaning of individual characters aren't as important as the meanings of the words they make up, and they vary very much from words to words!

The "Daily characters" series unfortunately won't be uploaded to the website. As for your other question, 交 and 渡 can both mean "to cross" but they have widely different usages. The word 渡 is only used when describing crossing the rivers, while 交 is used for crossing in general.

Hello Kaleb! In Chinese, you have to say each number separately, so for year 2022, it would be 二零二二年!

Yes it also means hotel! This word is more commonly seen in southern China though.

我没有喝过粉柠檬汽水,是什么味道呢?As for your question, you can use 凉 to describe drinks. For example, 凉水. For 暑, however, it means "heat; summer", so you would see the character mainly in words related to summer, for example, 暑假.

Thank you for your suggestion! Although I don't really know what you mean by the suggestion. Could you clarify what you meant by "when a word's not related to the YouTube video title"? To get rich is 发 [fā].

Very interesting questions! You can say 电动扶梯 and 自动扶梯 for escalators. As for 处 and 所, they have quite similar usages in the sense that they can both mean "area; place". For example, 住所 and 住处 literally mean "living place" (residence).
