Right. I think the most attractive thing about Korean soap operas is that they stay close to real life. Even a show with such a serious historical topic as ''Da Chang Jin," isn't at all depressing or somber. And then there are soap operas like ''Look and look again" and ''Little Fisherlady." Even though they go on for dozens or even hundreds of episodes, the audience still watches them loyally. They follow the story from beginning to end. My mom and I are two die-hard fans like that. We have a big pile of DVDs at home. They're all Korean dramas.

一代人有一代人的文学。80后作家的成绩是有目共睹的。但毕竟阅历浅，题材单一，写作的深度和广度上面有不少硬伤。一个作家，没有生活阅历和时间积淀是写不出真正的好作品的。

Every generation has their literature. The achievements of authors born in the 80's are clear for all to see. But, when all is said and done, they're inexperienced and their subject matter is all the same. It really has had a negative effect on the depth and scope of their writings. A writer without life experience and the knowledge that accumulates over time can't write a genuinely good piece of literature.

I definitely wouldn't understand those. There are so many pressures in real life, why would I want to watch movies that require mental exertion? So, my favorites are still silly comedies, science fiction, and similar light-hearted themes. Also, Lord of the Rings and similar legendary epic-style dramas are also pretty good.
