One day, a fisherman by the river recognised Qu Yuan and the two men began to talk.
屈原被放逐以后,常常在河边徘徊吟诗他的神情十分憔悴,身形也变得比以前瘦弱。
After Qu Yuan's banishment, he was often found pacing up and down the riverside reciting poetry. His expression was ghostly and ashen. He also started to become thin and weak.
屈原本来是楚国的重要官员,后来因为被奸臣陷害,得罪了楚王,就被放逐到了汉水以北的地方。
Qu Yuan was an very important official in the state of Chu. He was later framed by treacherous state officials and ended up offending the king. He was then banished to the northern regions of the Han River.
