ah, so instead of 3 syllables (中病毒)it's 中毒 to mean "get infected by a computer virus" Thanks.

to clarify the context, when I said that 染上病毒meant getting infected by a virus, the context was specifically a computer virus.

I had the same question. I know 中毒can refer to food poisoning, but for getting infected by a virus I learned 染上病毒 from Communicate in Chinese. I also learned 老死机 (it always crashes) from the same source, which is the same in this dialogue.

guolan,

wow, that's an amazing story. hats off to you for your persistence. what the hell was the handler planning to do, take the burgers back for a refund? I got approached by a group of young women in Dalian who told me that they had come in search of work but had found none and were destitute. Since I had heard the exact same spiel from other young women on the same street I was 99.9% sure I was being scammed. but I could not help myself and took them to a convenience store and bought some food for them. Last I saw them they were squatting around the stuff on the sidewalk, digging into it, I guess. So maybe they were really hungry. Well, thanks for the suggestion, guolan.

Since this is the third time you have made essentially the same comment, I feel that in the name of balance I should say that I especially like his delivery. Anyway, variety is the spice of life.

Oy vay! why must things be so complicated? (As Avril "Levine" would say)

Great concept and execution for the lesson.  As to the video itself, it did seem to be much lower resolution than the other lessons.  I dowloaded the file and played it in Rea lPlayer, but the result was the same; quite grainy.  In my iTunes feed, after I bookmarked the lesson I got audio files for the lesson and review.

Jacob,

It looks like you type the same thing twice, so I'm not sure about your question, but if you will look in the expansion section (click on the "expansion" tab), you will see 同时 in the first sentence.

meilan2,

Try this one:

Upper Intermediate - Opening a Meeting

Also, if you type "meeting" in the search box you will find some similar lessons, but you will have to page through to get to them.

Okay, thanks. I plugged 组成 (zǔchéng) into the search box and selected glossary and found several sample sentences.
