Great story. Can't wait for the next episode. Question about this sentence: Bu4 yao4 ming4 la ? yao4 ming4 = "very taxing" according to the vocab section But the sentence is translated as "Don't you value your life ?" So, would this be an idiomatic expression where you would not translate literally ?

Just a minor typo in the PDF pinyin for shu1dai1zi. It is written shu1dan1zi. (Although dan1zi is also a valid word meaning "item list").

Excellent lesson. Just a technical question...some of the Intermediate Dialogue exercises have problems opening the first sentence in the dialogue. Seems just to hang. All the other sentences open OK with the speaker symbol. Anyone else having this problem ?

There's a problem with the file download with this lesson. It will only download a small portion of the total 3.19mb and then it quits.

Another Qing Wen lesson I would like to see: Explain how to use the negative in Chinese. Most learners, including myself, have problems using "Mei You" and "Bu". A Chinese friend told me that "Mei You" is for the past tense and "Bu" is for the present tense. But I would really like CPOD to clarify this. Thanks Amber, Connie and Ken !

Can we also have a Qing Wen episode that gives examples of when we can use a whole word and when it is OK to use just part of a word ? examples: Hai Pa (afraid)...sometimes just the "pa" is used Te Bie (especially)..sometimes just the "te" is used Thanks for a great new feature !

Very informative ! Thanks ! Does reduplication also apply to "less friendly" phrases ? For example, can you say "Bi bi zui" (shut shut up) ?
