Brakes in Chinese is 刹车 sha1che1. It can also mean to stop or to brake.

Thats a good question!

guang1 and zhi3 - are very similar and interchangeable. Tend to mean - merely/only. For example I only have one bottle of beer, and that's not enough to share amongst ten people.

cai2 means - just/only/not until

It is often used when the person speaking is indicating that they think something has taken longer then expected.

For example - The traffic was terrible this morning, it took me an hour, I have only just got here.

Or

It's 12pm, and he's only just got out of bed.
