In college I had a friend. A male friend.
他很喜欢一个女孩子。他想去约她，但是他很害羞。
tā hěn xǐhuan yī ge nǚháizi 。tā xiǎng qù yuē tā ，dànshì tā hěn hàixiū 。
He really liked a girl. He wanted to ask her out, but he was shy.
