I know! I don't really know the difference between "regarding" and "concerning"! Therefore it's even harder to explain the differences in Chinese! After discussing with the teachers, this was the best explanation we could give!

Sorry for the delay...that's a very good question!There is a very subtle difference.

关于- is more commonly used to mean 'regarding'. Regarding a topic in general. Eg. 今天我们会议内容关于十二月的 promotion.  It can also be used to refer to titles.

对于 - is used more to mean 'concerning', and is used for more specific situations, or when referring to someone. Eg 对于你的要求 - concerning your request.

In this sentence 自己 is repeated twice to mean -  I deceived myself.

Yes you can use the translation 不要骗自己 to say 'don't deceive yourself'!
