Hi,

In the following sentence "我再幫你拿一條吧.", "幫你" means "for you"(thanks john). Could "幫你"  be replaced with "對你"?

Example:

我 再 對 你 拿 一 條 吧.

What if I want to reformulate my sentence using   '別的' instead of '再'?

Example:

我 對 你 拿 一  別 條 的 吧.

Please correct me.

As BillGlover and JasonSch, I noticed that the sentence "你一下飛機就來公司了?" doesn't look like a question, except for the tone and the question mark. I am going to devoted myself to make it a question. I have 3 options for cpod team:

1.你一下飛機就來公司了嗎?
2.你怎麼一下飛機就來公司了?
3.你為什麼一下飛機就來公司了?

Let me share this with cpod :

My mother told me that before the Cultural Revolution, the Chinese had the habit of crumbling bread around their plate. For an economy purpose, the Cultural Revolution brought an end to this custom. She said that, sometimes, to get the proof that someone was part, or not, of the Popular Army, he was invited to dinner. 

Does this custom still exist today in china?

I would like an explanation about the meaning of 偶書. I have no problem with 回鄉 (return village). But how 偶書 (image book?) could mean "thoughts"?

I am trying to learn this poem by heart and I realize that Connie has read this poem with a specific rhythm.

It's like 1-2  1-2  1-2-3, 1-2  1-2  1-2-3, ...

I am right Connie?

Thanks for this great lesson. I have 3 questions:

1-

雙號means even number. According to my dictionary 奇數means odd number.

Could I say 奇號?

2-

I would like to translate the following sentence in Chinese: I will be seat in the front row on the right or the left back row.

我會讓坐右邊一排的座位或者左邊後排的座位.

Please correct me.

3-

The lady in text said :"hey, 請問, 十四號在哪兒?

Which chinese charater could replace "hey"?

Thanks a lot lujiaojie. Your helpful answer lead me to the dictionary and now I realize that 差 in 差不多 is 4th tone (chàbuduō) and 差別 is first tone (chābié). Should I conclude that the verb is always 4th tone and the noun 1rst tone?

Besides, could you please recommend me a good online-dictionary (with traditional character)?

If 差不多literally means ''difference NOT big'' and 差很多''difference VERY big'', there should have an expression that means "No difference". I was thinking of 沒有差, but I have found the expression is 沒有差別 (there is no difference) in the dictionary.

My question is why 別? Can I just say 沒有差?
