I anderstand that "日子" is used for a specific day in the year, "星期" is used for a specific day of the week.

If I to make s.o remenber that today is the last day of the current month (inventory day, for example, as every end of month), i will ask:

今天是什麼日子?

or

今天是幾好?

or

s.th else?

Thanks for help.

I am not totally agreed with John. People don't have to excuse to others when they leave work in the USA. They will say "sorry I have to go" in a middle of a dinner for example but not at work. I experienced that in many meetings, trainings and conferences.

Besides, I think the 4th tone can sound very sharp to a non-Chinese ear. "Na, wo zou le, bai bai" and "Ok, then I go. Bye" can be said gently in both languages.

For example the voice of woman in elementary lesson "It’s cold, wear more clothes" stay gentle and soft despite of all the fourth tones of this dialogue. It's a real pleasure to hear her voice.

Thanks a lot for this great lesson.

How to say "black skinned poeple", "white skinned poeple" in chinese? What terms are using to designate human skin color?

Thanks.

At home is 在家, at work is 下班or 在公司
I think 在班 or 下家 is incorect,
so is there a rule about the "at" in chinese?

Thanks,

Hey jenny & John,

Did you realize that this part of your dialogue has been repeated twice in row?

{

John: "Alright, and then the guys, he claims he knows how to sing the song, right?"

Jenny: ", 我會唱, 我會唱."

}

I was intrigue the 1rst time I hear it, but you really say it twice. A wrong cut I presume. It's funny.

Great course by the way. Keep up the good job!

The expression 一日2次,一次2片 mean "two time by day and three pills each time". Say, 3 pills two time a day (2 pilules trois fois par jour, in french).

In order to make it shorter could I say : "3 片一日2次".

Please tell me if this new expression still has the same meaning, another meaning or no meaning at all.

Anticipated thanks.
