In the dictionary (mdbg) the classifiers of 手機 are 部 and 支. So, 這個手機這麼便宜 should be wrong. We should say 這支手機這麼便宜 or 這部手機這麼便宜. Or maybe 個 is a real generic classifier that can replace all others? Please help me.

Correct me if I am wrong but in the sentence 茶幾放著一個花瓶, the word茶幾 should be written 茶几 (tea/small table).

Thanks.

PS: I use the PDF traditianal documents.

How 可是 could mean "really"? I allways have translated 可是 as "may be". Please tell me more about it.

Thanks,

L.

Hey Cpod Team,

In the Dictation exercise, when I write with traditional characters (I love traditional characters) my answer is always wrong! Could you please tell the programmer to fix it for me so I get the 100% I deserve.

Thanks all,

L.

Thanks Connie. Your story is great. It's very good exercise of pronunciation. I keep saying it over and over...

Jenny, John. Thanks for the advice. It’s actually what I have done. I started with the Newbie Level and occasionally a tried the Eli Level. One day I feel that the Eli was understandable to me and since I did the Newbie and the Eli levels. Now I am between Eli and Inter.

I do a lot of writing because a love to write Chinese characters. But I prefer to write in traditional. It’s more beautiful. I would say more “Chinese”.

I do the Qing Wen too because grammar is very important. The Qing Wen are very clear and so interesting. The Chinese poems are so difficult to learn and understand. I will return to poem later, maybe at the upper intermediate level.

Let me give you a suggestion. Maybe it’s a good idea to learn Chinese with music. It’s true with the music we miss the tone but the vocabulary is still there and it’s easier to memorize a song when you like it. There is a song I love. Sing by Cass Pang (彭羚) all because of you (完全因).It’s so beautiful. Please listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmBER0ABbQg&feature=related

Thanks.

I think that a better translation of "也不在我這兒" would be "not by my side neither" or "not with me, neither".
