May 6, 2010 at 12:22 AM您一定被问了上千遍"How are you""How do you like Chinese food?""My English is poor,How can I improve it?""Can we be friends?I want to learn English..................... I feel sorry for the "interrogation" you suffered from.

May 4, 2010 at 5:10 AMGood question.I am also wondering about if either of the languages borrowed from another....It seems more likely it's a borrow word, you can't expect an equivalent to this level of matchness....That's what I found after making a google research:
“洗脑”一词最初见于第二次国内革命战争时期的国民党统治区。1927年国共合作破裂后,国共两党成为对立的两派,国民党害怕共产党宣传攻势的厉害,不许民众接触赤化宣传,把马克思主义理论和共产主义理想的传播称作“洗脑”。
Kuomintang was divided into two opposite groups after a failed cooperation with Communist Party of China in 1927.For fear of the promulgation of Marxism and Communism in its own ruling regions and prevented them from reaching the civilian level, the Kuomintang denounced such promulgation as "brainwash".

May 6, 2010 at 7:36 AM.....I am sorry.Of course I will take your advice...I learned this word from a "English-Chinese dictionary"..It wrote,"聚精会神的",then I thought it must be another synonym of "assiduous"......I am so sorry for that........
Thanks for your correction.
