Dave, 退货/tui4 huo4 means give the merchandise back for a refund. In the context of returning a borrowed item, you can say 退还/tui4 huan2.

aaron, You can say“我想换这个。”/Wo3 xiang3 huan4 zhe4 ge./"I would like to exchange this." “我可以换这个吗?”/Wo3 ke3 yi3 huan4 zhe4 ge ma?/"Can I exchange this?"

我小时候也觉得馒头很让人失望,好不容易吃了这么多面粉,结果一点陷也没有。很有上当的感觉。现在长大了觉得简单的味道也很好。

我曾经吃早饭时花二十多块钱买咖啡,一块钱买包子。怪不得广告商都说咖啡不只是咖啡,而是生活享受。在中国好多东西就是越贵越有市场。就没有人说包子不只是包子,而是一种生活享受。

helenk, "个" means 'one'. 举个例子 means 'give an example'. 举例子 means 'give examples'.

jbradfor, Yup, that is very true. Handing cash to the delivery person is a major means of paying for tickets in China. Travel agencies have delivery staff on their pay roll.
