Easy to remember as it neatly counters the word 减肥。 Andrewm, Diet Coke is 健怡可乐。It is rather a poetic and marketable name:健 stands for 健康,while 怡means joy and delight. 节食 means to strictly control one's diet. Therefore the usage is quite different from English. The more general term for diet is 食谱/shi2 pu3/, which refers to diet in a sense of the food that one eats and doesn't imply weight loss.
