@cinese, question1:what's the difference between "要是" and "...的话", we always say this structure "要是...的话", there is no difference between the two words, 'cause they are always put together, eg, "要是不下雨的话,我们...", "要是真的丢了的话,我就得..."

question2: how to say to start a meeting?开开会? start a meeting, 可以说,我们开会吧!wǒmen kāihuì ba!也可以说 “开始开会”  kāishǐ kāihuì.

question3: 也可以说:我要去开会。wǒ yào qù kāihuì

@xiaophil, "pls move over", 可以说 "请让让", "请让一下" "qǐng ràngrang", "qǐng ràng yīxià", 这样更礼貌一些。

@juzi, “幸会” is another way to say "很高兴见到你", this saying is used for those people you meet for the first time, it's formal. Some informal sayings, “很高兴见到你”,“很高兴认识你”

There was a girl in my middle school class whose mother was an English teacher, I was so jealous of her. I thought her English must be the best in our class, but it turned out not. To my surprise, she couldn't even pass the exam.

@calicartel, good question, “所” here is not a measure word, but it's a “所...的” structure, the structure is 所+Verb+的,that which |我所说的, wǒ ∼ shuō de (huà) what I said

More examples, 他所做的 tā suǒ zuò de(what he has done),我所经历的(what I have experienced)wǒ suǒ jīnglì de etc.

@Mike, at 9mins 41secs, it's “平面”,"píngmiàn"

@christine30550, festival subsidy is supposed to be paid before a festival, eg, Mid-autumn Day, Spring Festival. But not all the companies in China offer their employees this festival subsidy. Actually, I think only some country-owned companies are offering this. There is no such concept in any foreign-invested or foreign-owned companies here. Oh, I'm not sure how much, maybe 200RMB-300RMB a festival, but there is one thing I'm quite sure, the compensation of Spring festival is not a small amount...
