July 10, 2009 at 9:07 AM@dunderclumpen, in this sentence, 她回去取行李去了 Ta1 hui2qu4 qu3 xing2li5 qu4 le5, “回去" is a verb, and "做...去了” is a frequently used collocation(very commom in oral Chinese), indicating the person is leaving the place to do something. Eg, 他吃饭去了，小张买菜去了.

July 10, 2009 at 4:02 AMI was one of the 可怜的小孩儿! But I was a lucky dog, because my parents came back home at about 10pm. So, I could listen to music, watch TV, and even enjoyed surfing, haha. Anyway, I need to keep my ear smart...to make sure everything calm down before they were back. and... pretended I was doing my homework!

July 10, 2009 at 3:41 AM@dunderklumpen, when you return to the hotel to get your luggage, you are supposed to hand over a 行李寄存单xíngli jìcún dān, or you can simply say 凭证píngzhèng or 单据 dānjù，你可以说：“我来取我的行李了”。wǒ lái qǔ wǒ de xíngli le，then you pass the 行李寄存单to them.
