July 24, 2009 at 6:18 AM@bababardwan, no, you can not say this in Chinese. It's hilarious to hear someone say "星期一炎", anyway, you think outside the box!
This "炎" can only be used in this inflammation situation (disease), like 气管炎 qìguǎnyán tracheitis，胃炎 wèiyán gastritis, and etc.

July 23, 2009 at 7:34 AM@rich, sorry for the incomplete explanation. Nowadays, "蒙古医生" has nothing to do with Chinese doctors, they are the doctors without sysmatical medical training. And, traditional Chinese medical treatment and medicine help, indeed! BTW, Chinese 医生 are not that bad!

July 23, 2009 at 2:56 AM@bababardwan, you can call a dodgy surgeon "蒙古医生" měnggǔ yīshēng or "蒙古大夫" měnggǔ dàifu， these doctors are not from Mongolia, they are Chinese people. (And this name is originated from western countries) These doctors are not good at using scientific medical treatment, but traditional Chinese medicine (汉方).
