A little problem in the translation. Of course you are going to buy a 外牌照 if you are mainly going to use the car on the weekend, not a 户牌。

The physical exam process, which can be scary in some locales, would be a good lesson topic.

I agree. I am studying business Mandarin, and in this context 劝 seems to always be very strong. Maybe in casual conversation it loses some power.

I heartily support this ban. One hot summer day a pretty girl sat next to me on line #2 and promptly pulled out a package of pickled chicken feet. She tore it open with her teeth and squirted me on the leg with the juice.臭死了!

Yes, it is nice to hear a new voice on Chinese Pod. 生日蛋糕吃的很好。We host a monthly birthday party for our factory workers, and I have never been disapointed. The frosting colors and decorations really give you no clue what is on the inside. It seems there is always some type of fruit in or on the cake. At restaurant buffets, I never get the cake, too many disapointments.

There is a bar in Shanghai that has a urinal trench with a highway guardrail behind it. Good sense of humor, and it just seemed so natural. Another reason the men's line is shorter.

I remember when giving the attendant a cigarette would get you preferential treatment, now there are just too many cars in China.
