It is difficult to fire your 阿姨 because you come to think of them as part of the family after a while. I was so upset when I had to fire my last 阿姨 that I started the bad habit of leaving 零钱 in my pockets again.

First the picture controversy, now a rating system. Does CPOD have a new Marketing Manager?

Good topic that many people can relate to. I got so tired of my wife complaining about our 阿姨 of five years, that I said why don't you just fire her? My wife went on a home leave trip, and said, oh by the way, fire the 阿姨 while I am gone. After a lot of searching, I found a 四川阿姨. I love her cooking, but I think she is secretly drinking my Jose Cuervo Silver tequila.

我喜欢柚子。Seems to be in season from winter until at least spring festival.

The bigger and more elaborate the menu, the more often you are going to hear “没有了”。I have noticed that many chinese scrutinize the 买单 to make sure they are not charged for dishes that were not delivered.

Yes, there are many layers to this onion, and we all have our anecdotes. I feel fortunate to have lived here long enough to be accepted by some of my chinese friends, and having the ability to feel comfortable in a variety of settings away from the expat bars and tourist areas.

As a US citizen, I would hate to be lumped together with patrons of my hometown Walmart, for instance.

对,“worthwhile” 是太含混的。I accept the Mandarin as is, a good value investment or a high value investment.

For "有很高的投资价值", seems like there should be a better way to state this to match the translation. Or perhaps the translation should be changed.

I just look at the advertisements on the side of my 20 liter jug of water to be reassured that it did not come from the Huangpu. 天热泉水。是真的是假的就相信!

Happens every spring, might as well joke about it. Another reason to drink

热水。
