Here is another annoying question (thanks for answering all my others!!!)

有些因为世博会建造场馆拆迁, 搬到了更好房子

建造场馆  does this mean "To constuct a venue"

or is it simply a set 4 character phrase meaning "construction site" ?

Also, doesn't it sound better to say 有些因为世博会建造场馆而拆迁 。。。can I say that?

thank you vm

Hi all, as I work my way through these older lessons I am finding a ton of value, and also seeing how much CPOD has improved.  Here is a quick question:

Is there any difference between 僧人 and 和尚?

Thank you

Hi I have a question regarding the opening sentence...

终于盼到五一黄金周

(The Golden Week we've been looking forward to is here at last.

Is this the correct English translation?  shouldn't it be more like:

 终于盼到的五一黄金周到

Thank you

Cool thanks for that reply. Here is another question (that has probably been beaten to death already) ... How much of the HSK word list is incorporated into Cpod lessons?

Say one had thoroughly studied ALL of Cpod's lessons and went to take the HSK ... would the vocab covered on Cpod up to now be enough to pass the advanced levels?

I really like how Cpod recycles/reuses certain vocab terms...it really really helps me reinforce/solidify the words/expressions...it actually seems as if you have gotten a lot more proactive in consciously doing this.

Perhaps this topic has been brought up before, but are you guys working from a list of most common words/expressions when you create lessons?
