April 15, 2017 at 12:47 PMYeah, I have heard 关注 too. I imagine it is like pavement and sidewalk. When I taught English in Spain I remember everyone making a big fuss about whether their teachers were British or American. The parents all wanted British teachers because they thought it was more correct and the kids all wanted American teachers because they thought it was more cool, and we all just had a laugh among ourselves because the difference is so minimal, and that is with 200 plus years of divergence.
