jianxuexi: The flashcard program will automatically jump to the next card after a second or so delay if you click the correct/incorrect checkmarks. You don't need to click the arrows. That's why you're skipping through every other card. Stop clicking the arrows and it should be fine.

Question: the word 拧 is given as second tone níng in the vocab and dialogue, but according to nciku, níng second tone means to wring or pinch, whereas third tone nǐng is to twist or screw. In the dialogue it is clearly used in the "twist or screw" sense. Shouldn't it be third tone, then?

I haven't listened to this yet (but this discussion is really making me anxious to), but here's my thought on the issue: ChinesePod is supposed to, as I understand it, be a complete language course, able to take you from no knowledge to advanced and confident without a need for outside material. Sure, speaking practice is great and all, but if you have to get some other teaching material because there's something you can't learn though CPod, then I think that's a shame. Risqué language is also language and if I go to China and don't know that stuff, but am fluent otherwise, I might encounter some pretty embarrassing situations.

John: The way I interpreted chas33735's comment is that he is unable to check/uncheck the checkbox that toggles auto on or off.

Chatherine: Don't say things like that unless you mean it. Don't play with my heart.

Actually, a series set on a Chinese junk with some buckling of swash would be completely radical.

I think the "aggressive interactions" are very funny.
