So I don't know if this is, uh, clean, but ... I got a pretty strong mnemonic for the middle character in 二锅头. I, for one, hadn't seen it before. Well, seeing as the liquor in question reportedly tastes like ... *ahem*, I can't keep myself from making the connection. The left part is the radical of gold. The right part is, on top, a mouth, and below, the sign for "inside".
... I shall say no more, but I'll remember that character until the day I die.

I also agree with the previous poster. This stuff is great and sets ChinesePod apart from the boring Chinese learning programs (=all of them). I'm very happy that CPod is not afraid to teach us the word for "stripper".
Also, what place in China, when things happen there, stay in that particular place? Is Shanghai China's Vegas?

November 19, 2009 at 10:51 AMThere's an omission in the transcript for this lesson. In the dialogue tab, it says: "没事儿的。我们会激励你". In the audio, the trainer says "没事儿的。我们会在旁边激励你".

Person 1: "A. Also, B."
Person 2: "Well, the answer to A is C. Regarding B, we'll have to wait and see."
"Regarding" can be used like this, when responding to a part of a multi-part question.

"Concerning" can be used like this, when bringing something up for discussion, without it having been brought up before.
Native English speakers are welcome to tell me I'm stupid. Also, I have no idea if that maps to Chinese.
