Constance, thanks for the prompt reply and welcome back from your break.  What about the use of the word 愈?  Is it's use the same as 越 in this type of grammar pattern?  I did not know this word before, but I know the pattern (or set phrase?) 越来越多。  Would people also say 愈来愈多？

In the first line of the dialog I hear 愈吵愈热 which accords with the transcript, but in the dialog tab I hear 越吵越热. Is this a mistake or a variant pronunciation of the same character? (愈). Are the two characters 愈 /  越 with their different respective pronunciations interchangeable within this grammar pattern?

Not sure if this will work for you, but here are two things you can try:

1. Expand the Lesson Info menu on the left side of this page by clicking on it.  Then where you see the light bulb icon for topics covered, click on the link that says "grammar."

2.  To find a list of all of the Qing Wen lessons, on the banner at the top of this page click "Lessons Library" and select Qing Wen from near the bottom of that menu.

1. The incorrect translation of 难讲 still has not been corrected.

2. The penultimate line of the dialog, 你应该出来选的 I believe should be translated as "You should run for office" and not as "You should get out and vote." Maybe it would be clearer if the original text had been 你应该出来竞选的。 I will also report this using the secret "Report a mistake" function hidden underneath another link on this page.

TheMonkey477, It would be great to have such a resource, but it would probably have to be user generated somehow, even if CPod were to help curate it. However, within the CPod ecosystem there is quite a vast archive of old lessons. You may want to try the following: 1. Expand the "Lesson Info" tab on the left toget hyperlinks to lessons with related functional content. In this case, for example, "clothing", or to reinforce or expand some grammatical point. 2. Look at the list of related lessons, also on the left. These lists are far from being comprehensive, so you should also: 3. Type search terms into the search box, revealed by clicking on the magnifying glass on the upper right to reveal a search for "key word, lesson title . . ." Finally, if you have not discovered it already, take a look at the forum. (click the menu box to the left ofthe magnifying glass on the upper right to get the drop-down menu and select "forum". )There are some discussion threads there discussing other resources, and you might even want to copy your comment here over the the forum to start a new discussion with your good idea.

In my mind (not necessarily logical or following any rule of grammar)  坐 (zuo4) seems more passive and 搭 (da1) seems more active.  Such as "ride the bus" using 坐, where I picture myself sitting passively, versus  "grab a taxi" using 搭 where I picture myself frantically trying to hail a cab.  That said, I believe they are generally interchangeable.  However, don't combine 搭 with plane (飞机 fei1ji1);  that's slang for something that may cause you considerable embarrassment.

营收 is (correctly) translated as "revenue" in the dialog, but in the vocabulary lists (below the dialog and in the dialog tab) it is shown as "camp."   Looks like the translator was giving an alternate translation for the word 营 by itself.

I was going to offer the same solution to liaowarrior for typing pinyin to appear with tone marks, but then I realized that he did not specifically say that he meant within the context of posting on ChinesePod.  

Maybe the software for Windows 10 (and earlier)  offered on this site will work, though I have not tried it myself.

Looks like you guys solved the mystery.  Somehow by accident they tried to publish lesson that already exists, but using a wrong identifier number. (8519 instead of 2519) So this is not a new lesson.

I hope michaelangelo@chinesepod.com reads this so they don't waste any more time on it, since the "few hours" are stretching into days ;-).   CPod should pay you, dorothycowling.
