May 21, 2007 at 12:21 AMOut of 100 Chinese leaners: My guess is that 50 learn Chinese characters. The other 50 will just learn pinyin. Out of these 50: My other guess is that only 2 or 3 will learn traditional Chinese characters. This leads to my question to Man2to and fcfpoon: what's the point of writing your comments in traditional Chinese characters ?

Also, when he says : 现在像你这样的顾客我见多了, does it mean he has encountered many clients who complained (which looks like a gaffe) or that all his customers are usually happy with his servce ?

The point is that, in this discussion, people should write questions or comments either in English or Chinese simplified characters, so that everybody can understand. However, if some of you want to show off your ability to write in Traditional characters, then keep going!
