September 16, 2009 at 5:11 PMI'm pretty sure that I learned the meaning of 叫春 with Cpod (maybe Qingwen) but I didn't expect to find this expression used in the title of a violent (憤青) article from the People's Daily :
"笔者联想,杨美女的索吻举动不是一个女人要实现梦想的行动宣言,而是一个女人出卖自己,为金钱叫春的发情。"
"别的女人(妓女)出卖的是整个身体,而她出卖的是身体的局部,嘴唇、舌尖和牙齿。"
"梁实秋说,猫很乖,唯有叫春的声音颇不悦耳,惊扰的人们休想安睡。所以有人不惜昏夜起床持大竹竿而追逐之。" (incitement to physical violence)
"一些很爱国的人士便会趁机挥舞“爱国主义”的大棒以“崇洋媚外”的名义加以喝斥。"
"就像我们这里很多人至今还对黑种人持有偏见,这和美国人又有何区别呢?"

Actually, the word "Trek" used in english comes from Dutch but ... with the Afrikaans meaning :
1. A slow or difficult journey.
2. (South African) A journey by ox wagon, especially the Boer migration of 1835-7.
