What's the chinese word for Commuter town (Dormitory town) ?

Is it simply 宿舍城市 or 宿舍地方 ?

本来男人也能举一把花伞。

What's worse: the purse or the flowery umbrella ? ;o)

Btw, is 花伞 an umbrella made of paper and used as sunshade or an umbrella with flowers drawn on it ? I incline towards the second explanation.

From my personal experience, I confirm that liquorice candies were impossible to find in Shanghai last year. But there are some on the picture of the Haribo mix (top of this page).

除了中国, 甘草糖在亚洲是如何流行的?(Apart from China, How popular are liquorice candies in Asia ?)

Ruca the Portuguese police dog is helping his handlers crack down on the sale of counterfeit CDs and DVDs.

Could you imagine the state of this dog on a chinese market ? ;o)

I guess the dog smells the fresh plastic packaging of the CD/DVD not the CD/DVD itself.

哪怕纳帕酒乡座落在美国, 还出产好酒。

This Na3pa4 and Na4pa4 tend to stick together easily. ;o)

I guess that 民族乐器 always implies 中国民族乐器 because recently I was immediately corrected when I described the Didgeridoo as a 澳洲土著人的民族乐器.

Hi Orangina,

You're right, the prefix "hyper-" comes from greek and the prefix "super-" comes from latin. Even if "hyper" and "super meant the same thing centuries ago, nowadays "hyper-" is bigger than "super-".

Btw, in french a "carrefour" is an intersection/crossroad.
