December 27, 2017 at 8:54 AMI don't think the problem is with the character 越. It is unlikely that UI learners do not know the 越。。。越 structure. The problem lies with the word click translations, which are often wrong in the context. (For example, 来 is always translated as "come", even when it is a functional word). The word click translations appear to be provided automatically from a dictionary and are not checked. In the case of 越 in this lesson, the mistake was pointed out on 3 December and has still not been corrected.
