This is a way to say to your close friend, "Please calm down" you are acting or talking silly, so you need to take medicine to calm down.

February 10, 2011 at 9:43 PM注射 zhùshè is the verb meaning to inject.
打针 dǎzhēn is a verb and noun together. 针 zhēn means needle. The verb 打 dǎ in this case means to give, literally you coud think of the needle "hitting" the skin or vein. So together means to give a needle. As the usually meaning of 打 dǎ is a striking or hitting motion.
eg 打电话 "hit the phone" "press the buttons" "wind the dial" (not so long ago) to make a phone call.
Within Context:
if you said, 明天我去医院打针. This would mean, Tommorrow I am going to the hospital to have a needle.
It does not really mean that you are going to the hospital to give a needle to someone else. Not unless you are the nurse or doctor talking about yourself going to work tommorrow at the hospital.

January 31, 2011 at 9:25 PMFirst time to China, one of my first friends I made wished to give me a Chinese Name, because I did not have one. He knew I had studied alot of martial arts before outside of China. He wished to call me 李小龙 Bruce Lee's Chinese Name.
At this time, I did not knowBruce Lee's Chinese Name, though of course I knew about Bruce Lee. I could not believe my friend wanted to call me that.
I went home and told my wife...she laughed....and then thought again.....小龙 xiao3long2 simplified characters is easy to write in Chinese. So the 小龙 stuck.
I certainly did not want to have Bruce Lee's name, out of respect that I am not that good in martial arts.....So it was easier to use my wife's family name and then 小龙. The complete name stuck, even my three year old calls me sometimes by my Chinese Name.

January 31, 2011 at 9:05 PMThe major definition is that 太太 tàitai can mean Lady where as 老婆 lǎopō more so means wife or old lady.
你太太过来吗?
nǐtàitaiguòláima
Has your lady been there?
This meaning of 太太 can refer to the man's lady partner, and the man and woman are not necessarily married. But infers that the female partner is younger, similar age but not older than the man.
老太太 lǎotàitai can mean old lady, or old women. Where as 太太 is a lady who is younger than a 老太太
to Help make clear use of your meaning if you wish to refer to your wife or someone else's wife, it is best to use the 妻子 qīzi wife
