I think 'that really sucks' is a good translation in those of situations where you feel sorry for the person.

We will update the address once we move over next Friday. We will also shoot a video about the move and give everyone a look of our new office. I love the layout of that building. Our contractors also did a brilliant job. If anyone ever needs a team to design and build your home or office in Shanghai, I will gladly recommend them.

We just upgraded the lesson page. Now it is iPad compatible, i.e. you can listen to all the audio files, unlike before when we used flash players. The second change is that the lesson player doesn't reload when you go through different tabs, which was what the pop up did.

Many Chinese studying overseas nowadays tend to come from well to do families. So the word 海归 conjures up images of privileged young people who didn't have to work for anything.

We are very sorry about the problem! The tech team will take a look at it on Monday. Again, our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

You need to announce the name of the tile as you are discarding it. It's the mahjong culture.

The set needs a lot of rework for video, including where we sit. But a side note, John and I always stand when we record audio podcasts. I've come across a few people who said they imagined us sitting down and sipping coffee when recording because we sounded relaxed.

We are based in Shanghai so we are living with the harsh realities of unreliable internet connection to foreign sites, constant disruption to essential google tools and the very fact that our service is affected. We;ve upgraded our servers to Amazon cloud which is the industry's standard for modern web hosting. We are always committed to providing a stable service to all of our users. But unfortunately we can't be responsible for the actions and internet infrastructure of different countries. Some Chinese internet service providers such as Wantong have limited DNS connections to overseas, which means connections and especially streaming or downloading media content could be very slow when demand exceeds supply.

As a Chinese, I hope my country will have better internet infrastructure and a more enlightened internet policy.

And I recommend giving Astrill VPN a try. A very reliable and necessary service for foreigners living in China. They have a free 10 day trial I believe.

This first lesson is an MVP (minimal viable product) to help us collect feedback and find problems as you're helping us to do. There are a few things we will do with future lessons including providing the audio version of the lesson.
