August 30, 2010 at 8:14 AMNo I don't have special equipment. I use the front speakers of a crappy Logitech X-530 system but I wish I had better speakers.
I think the higher quality helps my pronounciation pretty much, my comprehension a little, but the tones not at all.
哈哈,I like your new avatar :-)

August 29, 2010 at 9:48 PMI only download the cd quality lesson since it makes a big difference to me. I guess I'm sensitive to audio quality since I've been playing music by ear for many years. I can easily tell the difference between the radio and the cd quality lesson.

I think we need a QW about the verb "fall". There are several characters (倒,摔,掉,降,。。。) that seem to do the same thing, but there surely is some difference. The QW could deal with how to say fall off a cliff, fall into the water, trip and fall, slip on ice, an airplane craches, the lid of a 茶壶 comes off and breaks to pieces on the floor, and so on. People falling, conctrete things falling, big and small things, abstract things,...

August 19, 2010 at 7:35 AMThanks. That confirms my vauge ideas about the use of those words.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NH3lNjFBg8
There is a lot of "add..." and "put...into" used to describe the actions of cooking. For instance
放到碗里加入 2:28
放进。。。中 3:11
放入 4:18
