I'm actually from Chicago. North of you, but not that far north :)

Hehe I'm sure I'll find a way to keep myself entertained. Also I should be back in Asia sooner rather than later...

Right now we plan to mix it up a bit with BST - some lessons harder, some easier. At the top left, under the show graphic and the built-in audio player, you'll see the level we assigned the show. We felt it was 'intermediate.'

We'll be going back and forth between difficulty levels, sometimes with translation and sometimes not. This is the first time we didn't have a translation, and while we feel that the conversation flowed better than in interviews with a translation, we do recognize that it can be frustrating to listen to for learners who aren't at this level yet.

Thanks for your feedback!

My comment in this show reflected anecdotal evidence and personal experience with satellite tv here in Shanghai. I wasn't trying to say that Filipinos are in illegal businesses here. It's simply my experience that a lot of satellite TV packages are available through Filipinos and feature a lot of Filipino TV stations (and advertisements!).

And as a side note, I'd just like to add that I think Filipinos are great :)

We used to publish 1 media and 3 advanced lessons per month. After receiving a lot of feedback from users about how useful the media lessons were (and about how much they wanted more timely content) we decided to even it out and publish 2 medias and 2 advanced.

Glad you liked this episode, Cinnamonfern! I'd recommend listening to the show again if you missed anything - it's amazing how much you can pick up on the second go-around. And of course if you have any questions, post them here!
