March 21, 2011 at 2:16 AMAs xiao_liang mentions, we haven't settled on a permanent format yet. The interviews are something we're doing regularly, though not necessarily every episode. We'd like to reach out to a an audience that includes both 'China hands' and complete newbies. In light of that, this episode was meant for the newbies, particularly Americans, who might not be familiar with the kind of cell phone use you see here in China.
Not to worry, there will be more interviews coming up!

March 7, 2011 at 2:27 AMThanks for sharing this experience - it sounds very interesting! I remember attending a wedding in China and thinking how strange it was that all the guests left right after they'd finished eating. There was all this pomp and circumstance leading up to the meal, but then after eating for about 1 hr., someone said, "the bus back to the village is here" (bride was from the village, wedding was in the big town next door) and most of the guests got up and boarded the bus!

March 7, 2011 at 2:17 AMWhenever you go to a major sporting even you see things like "Tina, will you marry me?" in the streaming text on the big digital screens around the stadium. While super public proposals are probably less common than private ones, a lot of men still try to do something "crazy" or unexpected.

February 11, 2011 at 1:47 AMThis issue has been resolved. It was a problem of a photo posted, which had been copied from QQ. There was a problem with the HTML as it was copied, and that's why the image is in a funky fixed position. On top of that, the image belongs to QQ, hence the QQ warning message.
