translated as:

(Lately, I’ve been wrong a lot when buying stuff. If it isn’t fake, it’s overpriced.)

I contemplating the "if it isn't fake part".Before I saw this translation I thought it was going to be more along the lines of "it's not that they've been fake,but rather they've turned out to be overpriced". However I guess it's more of an implied "if not...then".I suppose the 就 is another clue here.Is this part of a "如果。。。就“ pattern with the 如果 implied but left out?

Anyone care to shed any light?

I thought meant:

wait until the business is successful

but was translated as:

when this deal is done

Am I right in guessing that the clue that it referred to one specific deal rather than the business in general was the use of 这笔 ?

Anyone care to correct the above? Any further insights? It sounds like it's just a drink and not a soup [or can it be both?],so why is it called a soup?

I'm wondering why 酸梅汤 is translated as "sweet-sour plum juice" [in the vocab tab and dialogue rollover].I suppose the 酸..meaning sour is meant to be covering both sweet and sour [is this like a shortened version or is it always thus?],but what I'm mainly wondering about is why 汤 ..soup,is translated as "juice".Is a distinction not made between the two [I guess there are many similarities] or is it something specific to this one?
