June 17, 2015 at 9:46 PMI was told to use 擦 for applying things like cream to the face (and I would assume also foundation). Does it sound significantly different in tone from 上? Are they interchangeable, or would they be used in different circumstances?
Also, why does one 上 粉底 but 打 腮红?

June 5, 2015 at 7:42 PMMinor point, but in the phrase: "buzzing around her like a fly everyday," it should be "every day" (two words). "Everyday" is an adjective, as in, "These are my everyday shoes." It's an easy one to miss.
