I finally went to see Jurassic World and used vocab from this lesson to discuss the film with my friends in Mandarin. :) Great entertaining movie, but not quite as good as the original.

Another awesome lesson! I often listen to these video lessons and then review the lesson again by watching the video as the subtitles and interaction between the hosts really helps focus my learning. I also really enjoyed hearing Gwilym speak as well as I felt I could relate to tye lesson content and situation a bit easier since I'm also not a fluent speaker of Mandarin.

Keep up the great work!

The guy in this lesson sounds pretty sketchy, wanting to leave the city/country after owing a  lot of money haha.

I noticed that the English translation for the 搬家 and 多音字 is missing in the vocabulary section.

WOAH, I really like the new format! The video of Gwilymand Fi talking about the lesson gives a feeling that we are interacting with you. The slides that are synced with the video is also fantastic and very useful for reviewing. Please keep this format for future lessons, it's fantastic!

I love the analogy, it really helped keep this lesson in my mind. I'm finding that QingWen are my favourite lessons from ChinesePod, they explain grammar and dufferences in similar words in a way that you won't find anywhere else.

I didn't mean the question in a sexual way. I just meant that the word 君子 was translated as gentleman, but when drinking with a female friend should you use a word for "lady" or can you use the same phrase for both men and women.

I noticed that there is a error in the PDF for 感情. It doesn't show the pinyin and says "Feelings" instead.

I was also wondering if you would use 君子动口不动手 when talking or referring to a woman or is there something else you should say instead.

I should note that this movie is not actually solely about the character mike隋 plays. He has a relatively small part and the plot of the movie revolves more around the growing and evolving relationship between a the two main lead characters.

Or they could have meant "Pretend ABC" This is a very interesting scenario that I never really heard of until I saw a Chinese movie called 同桌的你 (my old classmate) where mike隋 pretended to be a foreigner so he could pick-up girls at university. It's a pretty good movie, here is the youku page for anyone interested.
