December 21, 2016 at 9:26 AMIs it that the shi 是 is omitted in the dialogue - it says 你倒说说看，but the full form is 你倒是说说看，right? (i.e. 倒是 is a chunk but the shi is omitted here)

November 30, 2016 at 9:25 AMAh, ok. That makes me think that for an academic conference then, in which the speaker is not in any sense acting (just delivering a paper), 讲演would be preferable... Similarly for other formal talks which are not entertainment.
