臘肉 is in fact smoked and salted pork, traditionally prepared for Spring Festival and to provide the family( farmers) with the next year's pork supply. I've never heard 辣猪 used as a noun or phrase. Perhaps you're making jokes...?

I've heard both used. The latter is also a polite, face giving term. I use the former...Chinese will use both.

消費不是cost of living(food,rent,everyday necessities, and utilities)的意思嗎？.

消耗/消耗掉 consume/consumption。

耗 consume， spend， waste。

耗油量 fuel consumption。

用量 consumption。

 司機  is a driver. 師傅 is a master/instructor. I've heard the latter being addressed to a taxi driver before and was bewildered as to why. Upon later thought I came to the conclusion that taxi drivers must be considered master drivers, which I found even more bewildering given Chinese driving habits...

母語者？哈哈，不曾聽說過中國人用這個說法。。。‘中國人會說’ 是地道的說法。Like Americans will say/ Australians will say..etc

總算？ 更好說 ‘終於’， 終於解脫了。 終於放鬆了。 鬆口 Soften， relent。。 所以說： ‘總算鬆了一口氣’ To finally relent.or soften(what is in one's mouth -words). To relent or soften in the end

中國人其實會常說 ‘（終於）可以放鬆了！比較順口。

還有，你用 ‘大多時候’ 與 ‘可能會’ 沒道理。 ‘大多時候。。會’ 才對。

而且，‘ 英文的反諷語氣’ ？ 中文裡木有‘反諷’ ？ 可不可以解釋一下 ‘反諷’ 這個中文詞的存在與來源呢？

最終，‘這下可好了’ 意思這樣比較好，比以前的好多。
