I enjoy vintage/used fashion, but buy only inexpensive, fun things like huge lavender-blue lamé flared pants from the 70s. I don't like taking fashion so seriously.

I was impressed by an article in the Financial Times magazine some years ago about "dress agencies". Yes, naming is everything! We have things called "recycle shops" in Japan and those many people wouldn't be caught browsing in, many are even embarrassed to be taking their used clothes there to sell. But oh a dress agency on some high-end shopping street of London now, that's entirely different. You can only wear a 名牌 gown once can you? And some beautiful designer coats--well they go out of season, after one season.

Both kinds of 二手 clothes are just castaways hoping to be picked up by someone else, but calling your shop a dress agency might encourage people who otherwise wouldn't be caught dead, to come in and take a look.

Yeah wow Jason's a natural. He sounds like he's been doing this for years already.

This particular ai (ei) Jenny says is second tone, and it is. Maybe the pinyin for the rollover (even the hanzi, because it seems like 哎 doesn't express ái?) in the dialogue should be changed, to keep things consistent then?

But I know the hanzi for these sounds are not so strictly assigned, and you often have several hanzi for the same sound. I tend to use 欸 for this kind of éi (from consulting my dictionary). Hope that's not wrong at least.

I'm certainly not better informed, but I think my feeling about this 讲 has some similarity to yours. I've always thought of it as Preach AND Practice, probably because I've seen it in so many slogans and educational, well, slogans.
